Dear Sir:-
I hear that there is a movement on foot to bring back Prohibition. I am opposed to it, but am in Uncle Sam's service right now and therefore unable to vote my side of it. And there are millions more like me.
So- how about tabling the whole thing until we boys in the Big Fight get back and let the folks at home know how we feel about this? It's nice of them to be concerned about our welfare. We're concerned about theirs too. That's why we're ready to go the limit for them.
Just let well enough alone until we get back and then all us Americans will have a chance to say whether we want Prohibition and may the best side win. I hope you will do your bit toward this end and stay in our corner. Thanks and here's hoping we're back soon with you again.
